Bowen Therapy  Bowen Therapy

Bowen Therapy (Bowtech) was developed by Tom Bowen in Geelong, Australia. It is a dynamic system of muscle and connective tissue therapy that is revolutionising Health Care worldwide.

Over the last 45 years it has successfully treated thousands of people suffering from a variety of conditions. Anyone from a newborn baby to the elderly can be safely treated with Bowtech. Bowtech empowers the body to heal itself.

The work consists of a series of gentle, precise moves on specific areas. The body is a complex unit, dependent upon the balance of all its aspects. This perspective is integral to the success of Bowtech. Bowtech addresses the whole body, and restores the structural integration between the outer framework and inner organs.

In many cases it will be found that there are internal problems that are directly related to the external ailment and vice versa. The small moves entail a light cross fibre manouvering of a muscle, tendon or ligament. The specific site of each move correlates markedly with the acupuncture points of Chinese Medicine and the myofascial trigger points of modern massage.

Bowtech uses the healing power inherent both in the physiological responses of the body and the meridian energy system. Bowen can alleviate muscle tension and associated pain, however this is only the beginning.

Bowtech stimulates chi energy flow, releasing blocks to this natural flow, and thus empowering the body’s natural healing resources. The resulting integrated body response is capable of aiding the restoration of both musculo-skeletal and organ function.

The key to Bowtech’s success is its holistic action: areas often respond which have not been directly treated. Bowtech stimulates blood flow and assists lymphatic drainage resulting in the clearing of dysfunctional debris, normalizing of cellular physiology and balancing of the physical, mental and emotional areas.

Kinesiology

Structural Kinesiology is the study of muscles as they are involved in the science of movement.

Touch for Health Kinesiology, had its origin in 1970 with Chiropractors in America when Dr John Thie decided to make practical & effective methods of balancing the body’s energy available to all practitioners. Through muscle testing Touch for Health balances the body’s energy system to ensure the individual is balanced mentally, emotionally & Bio mechanically. Touch for health sessions are non invasive & informative. Perceiving the body as a multidimensional wholistic creation makes Touch for Health an effective tool in allowing the individual to explore and harmonise these dimensions. This amazingly simple modality is an excellent diagnostic tool to help establish the imbalances in the body - both structurally, and emotionally. Kinesiology encompasses the Chinese Philosophy of the five elements: earth, fire, water, wood & metal and the system of meridians.

A Touch for Health muscle balance is a great way to balance the whole body and trigger it to normalize any imbalances leaving the body refreshed and revitalized.
