Because Choi Kwang Do was designed in conjunction with the science of human movement (Kinesiology), and is systematically progressive, its techniques are much more effective for force-production and self defence than those programs designed without scientific principles. At the same time they are more effective for enhancing health and longevity!
Choi Kwang Do is not designed for competition and does not have the intensity of sports training. The system is meant for the average individual who wants to learn real-life, practical self defence skills and achieve a greater level of health & well being, not people solely interested in winning trophies. Choi Kwang Do is a noncontact, nonfighting, noncompetitive art that emphasises mental, physical, emotional & social development.
With over 350 schools worldwide, Choi Kwang Do is the ideal martial art for children, adults and senior citizens of all fitness levels.
As a family orientated school, we utilize practical movements & equipment training to enhance inner confidence and peace of mind. All this is taught in a non-competitive, non contact environment by instructors who care about their students.
